Ripper: book launch
The Chilean author will present her latest novel, Ripper, a fast-paced mystery involving a brilliant female teenage detective who must unmask a serial killer in San Francisco.
Isabel Allende won worldwide acclaim when her bestselling first novel, The House of the Spirits, was published in 1982, and also established her as a feminist force in Latin America’s male-dominated literary world. Since then she has written about 20 books, which have been translated into more than 35 languages and have sold more than 60 million copies. Likewise, she has received dozens of international tributes and awards over the last 30 years. Her writings are equally informed by her feminist convictions, her commitment to social justice & the harsh political realities that shaped her destiny.
